Joe Pistone (Mitchell)
Greener
marks the third time Joe has worked with both writer/director
Frank J. Avella and The New Cockpit Ensemble. His
previous outing was in last fall's production of
The Bubble. This
past November Joe had the opportunity to work with
writer-director-actor Ed Burns (
The
Brothers McMullen, Sidewalks of New York)
in his upcoming film
Purple
Violets, starring Selma Blair, Patrick Wilson,
Debra Messing and Burns. This is Joe's second outing
with Marlboro Road Gang Productions. He also had
a supporting role in
The
Groomsmen (Burns, John Leguizamo, Matthew
Lillard, Donal Logue, Jay Mohr and Brittany Murphy).
Both films will be released this year.
Joe had the good fortune to work with writer-director-producer
Bobby Moresco twice in 2005. First in the upcoming
film
10th & Wolf
(Giovanni Ribisi & James Marsden) and
The
Way of the Wiseguy, a one-man show starring
Leo Rossi opening in Chicago next month. Moresco
is best known for co-writing and co-directing the
critically acclaimed film
Crash
and co-producing last year’s Oscar winner
Million Dollar Baby.

Joe is a graduate of The University of North Carolina
at Wilmington (B.A. in Theatre) and currently studies
in NYC with acting coach Suzanne Shepherd. An active
